The “Gasthaus zum Specht”-Hotel is conveniently located between Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg, just about 1 km from the Hösbach (61) and Bessenbach/Waldaschaff (62) exits on the A3 highway. If you’re traveling without a car, arrival and departure—as well as access to Aschaffenburg and the regions around Frankfurt and Würzburg—are convenient thanks to the nearby train station and bus stop.

The natural landscape of the Vor- and Hochspessart regions offers the perfect backdrop for hikes, bike rides, and motorcycle trips through the area. The Hösbach, Goldbach, Bessenbach, and Sailauf industrial parks are also nearby. The Hyundai Training Academy is located 100 meters away.

Our hotel offers 36 well-maintained rooms, almost all of which are air-conditioned, and free parking is available for the entire duration of your stay. The “Specht” is particularly appreciated for its central location and excellent transportation connections. Our dedicated team and the Heeg family, who own the hotel, ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Hotel rooms

Our well-maintained single and double rooms are spread across two buildings—the main building and the guest house. Almost all rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The main building is accessible by elevator. Parking spaces are available to our guests free of charge for the entire duration of their stay. Guests also have the option to charge their vehicles at our two electric charging stations, each with a capacity of 11 kWh.

Check-in is available Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you’d like to check in earlier or later, please let us know so we can deposit your key cards in the key card safe for you if necessary. On Saturdays and Sundays, check-in is usually done via the key card safe at the guest house. If you have any questions, the front desk can be reached by phone until 10:00 p.m.

Our Hotelbar & Lounge

Our Hotelbar & Lounge offers you German cuisine. In addition to meat and fish dishes, it also includes vegetarian options. We place a strong emphasis on regional ingredients, seasonal produce, and treating food with respect.

If the weather is nice, you are invited to sit in our partly sheltered beer garden.

On Mondays, we offer an evening menu exclusively to our hotel guests. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we are open as usual in the evening. We are closed on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
